My friend had said to me that everyone is trying to be like everyone else. Someone better, so they lose focus on themselves as they try to be like someone else. Certain people get thrown into certain groups and get tagged with certain labels because of what they do, who they talk to, how they act, what they wear, etc, etc. Everyone would rather be like someone else rather than be themselves because they might think it's cooler to be considered this and that. People have just lost focused with themselves.

Yes I would have to say that there are people that are afraid to be themselves but people like that need to realize that they are never going to be truly happy unless they do what they like to do and act how it comes naturally. I'm usually around people that are very much themselves though. My friends all seem to be very much themselves and I like that. I think that we all need to heed to our wants and needs so we can get the most out of life.

Hi there Fonzy! I think sometimes, people, generally, not just from the UK are just not too comfortable with theirselves. I think that most of us still have the need to fit-in and be accepted.

I agree, a lot of people aren't themselves when in public or around new people, probably because if they were then people might think they're weird and not like them. Myself, I don't care anymore what people think of me, I am who I am and if they don't like that I consider it their loss. We're all the same really, we all think, sleep, act up, get depressed and have the same bodily functions. Why hold anything back? It's more fun to just be yourself!
