Hi Guys, I had an incident in my store last night with a guy whose cell phone was not working. As we were unable to repair it, he became abusive and started throwing stuff at us stating that he needs his phone to live. It makes me think as to how much do we rely on our cell phones and when do we draw the point on over dependance. Love to hear what you think Ken

Perviously I was nat able to even for a minute with out mobile. I had all my personal data in my mobile, including bank account numbers and ATM Pin numbers but with encrypted format. When i happened to miss my mobile once and was imovable in total. from that i changed myself to not to reley entirely on this. It is also not advisable, the mobile can be used for send and receive calls and messages.

I don't depend on my cell phone much at all. I don't talk on the phone a lot to begin with, and only use the cell phone when I am out of the house. I never use the text messaging features or anything like that just because I never saw the point. But it's true for so many people. My parents didn't have cell phones growing up and now we have whole generations thinking how they ever lived without them. However, it is a little crazy I think to depend on your cell phone as much as the man you mention in your post. I am very utilitarian with the phone - including my cell phone... just like to get my business done and then get off. I never understood people who worship their phones and keep their entire life stored in them... but it's their prerogative I guess.

Hi, I lost my cellphone one week ago and I realize that I am not depending so much of it. At first I tough that my life has ended or something like that, but right now I know that is not that important, and I have a backup of all my contacts. The only thing that it's getting difficult is to have the same number because it was a corporative number with free credit every month.
