I have great neighbors!

My grandma always says, neighbors are like gold. In my case, they really are. I've had neighbors in apartment buildings that our doors where inches apart from each other and often times we would enter and exit our apartments at the same time, but wouldn't even speak to each other. After the first time you say hello and there's barely a mumble that comes out of their mouths, you understand that they don't have the slightest interest in getting to even know your name. This time it's very different. I relocated to the outskirts of a small town, and my only neighbors are great. They welcomed my husband and I with open arms, and a wide open door to their home. This past winter was very hard for us, but we visited often and we were always welcomed. It makes such a difference to know that someone near by actually cares and is not a family member. It wasn't long until we became great friends. This past week we traveled for a few days to a nearby city to visit family, and when we got back I went straight to visit them. I actually confessed to my neighbor that I missed her while we were gone. She was glad to have us back in town, specially since her 13 year daughter was babysitting her 1 and 1/2 year old alone for the first time. Thank you to all the people who want to be great neighbors! always befriend people who live near by, you never know when an emergency will occur, they will be the first to your aid!..

I have been lucky in the past to have some great neighbors. we live in the country and rarely see ours now. But When we have problems, like fires or floods everyone chips in to help.

good neighbors are people unto whom we can count on for their help in cases of emergencies or, whenever we need some company. i am so thankful that we have plenty of them around where we are right now. but, just like you, savypat. may be, we have reached a time when we have to leave them behind already. the consideration for my son's request to find a place to settle nearer the chapel will have to be acted upon, too. when this happens, i can see the possibility that we will be visiting these friends once in a while.

That's good if you are able to be friends with your neighbor. I must admit that I am not like you. Been here in the same apartment building for more than three years but haven't got the chance to even talk to my neighbor.

I pray that you will soon make the opportunity happen. Sometimes we depend so much on the system that we forget that it is people who make up the system and societies we live in. Don't pass up the next opportunity to meet your neighbors, it's always good to add a new person to your life. Of course be sure that you bring someone in who will not do you harm.

Hi there, it's really good that you have great neighbors. Having good neighbors is like having good friends, moreover they can always help each other easily as they stay near to each other. Back in my hometown, my family do have some good neighbors, as they always share and help each other. But, I've moved to a new place with my husband, though I've been staying here for more than 3 years, I am not very closed to my neighbors. Perhaps we seldom meet each other, and most of the time, I stay inside the house. Sometimes I think my neighbors are not so friendly and not considerate, even though I smiled to them when I saw them, they just didn't smile to me.

we have good neighbors, too, where we are situated right now. this is one of the big considerations why my sons are reluctant about transferring to another place. we are considering of finding another apartment where the rental fee will be lower than the one we have now. also, we want to be located near where our church's chapel stands. but, our neighbors around here are so kind and so helpful. now, my sons are having second thoughts about the transferring to another site plans. i know that it is a blessing to be in a place where good neighbors abound. but, my youngest son is so sick that he finds difficulty in coping with having to travel more than thirty minutes to the chapel and then another thrity minutes on our way back.
