When my son was younger, I didn’t allow him to hold the camera. I’m afraid he might drop it or something. Anyway, he don’t usually ask me if he can hold it. Sometimes he even don’t want to pose in front of the camera. But now as he turned 4 last week, he became so interested in taking pictures. He asked me how and I thought him what to click and focus. And some of the pictures is good. He would try to focus the camera to himself and take some pictures Any mylotters here who have same experienced? At what age did your child got interested in taking pictures. Just share your experience. Thanks

My sister bought my 7 year old son a digital camera/video camera for Christmas. I've let both of my boys use my camera occassionally with help, but was a little scared of how they'd handle the responsibility on their own. My 7 year old took that camera on vacation with us the following week and actually got quite a few pictures that were better than the ones I took. Guess he showed me!

Well I am not a married one to have mine child taking a picture of me. But a 4 year kid being so much interest in such activities shows that the kid is genius. You are lucky to get such child. However I have a cousin in my family who is 2 years old, she can't take pictures but very interested in taking our mobile, listening to the music and dance with it. Hope see learns taking picture soon...

I think you have to trust your son. You know today the children are much more intelligent than before:) My son is very little. I bought him a cheap digital camera so that he can have fun with it. He likes taking photos when we go out. It's quite interesting to see the photos that he photographs. And some are not bad, hard to believe:) I love China

The children at my youngest daycare( aged 1,5 - 4 years) use the camera a lot - it's pretty common at daycares here in Sweden that both teachers and children take photos. At home she's not allowed to use the camera since it's both heavy and expensive. We're thinking of getting the older ones cameras since they like taking pictures as well - they are getting really good at it too, but they are 9 and 11 and can handle the camera. The little one loves taking pictures and is very frustrated when she can't have tha camera
