Fasting - how easy is it to do when you work?

I am thinking of going on a fast. It's been about 20 years since I last tried it and all I remember is the awful headache I had for days! Because I want to fast for more than 2 days, a weekend fast won't be long enough, and I still need to function for work - any ideas on the best kind of fast to do with this consideration? Thanks!

Hello, How many meals do you want to skip. Maybe you can work on it one by one. Like on the first day, you skip lunch. Just have a good breakfast. then skip lunch. try to get busy the whole day so forget about lunch then at night, eat a light meal. The next day, have another fasting. until you reach what you want. good luck

All of them. Well I am thinking of doing a juice/tea fast - not a complete lack of any nutrients for a few days, just no solid food.

Hi, any "change" for that matter is difficult initially to adjust. It is also true in fasting. You r getting terrible headache, symbolising it is a change & which is not normal.Think about those persons observe "Ramzan"for a month, every year(unless they are sick etc). For them too initially system protests, then adopts to the change. It will be also true for U,if U decide to GO FOR IT with Determination--nothing can STOP U. =Lahiri,Kolkata,India.

When I worked in an office I knew a lady from Bangladesh. She was Muslim and she used to fast during Ramadan. She got very weak and had a bad throat infection one time that did make me feel very sorry for her. My brother-in-law is vegetarian and he has quite a healthy sort of healthy diet. He fasts for a weekend every six months or so. He has juice to drink but nothing to eat. Her feels so incredibly healthy after he was completed his fast.

I think that fasting during work is really hard. It's also dependent on what sort of work you do though. For example, maybe an office based job would be easier during fasting than a more physically demanding job?
