My kids are sick for the 2nd time in under 3 weeks! First my oldest got sick, felt fine then got sick out the other end. Then I got sick on both ends, then #2 got sick, then #3 got bm issues and a few days later dh got bm issues & a head ache. So we are all feeling decent again for a few days. Then Sat while I was working DH & SIL2 made a big breakfast for everyone (but me cause I was already @ work...GRRR) they thought DC1 got sick from eating too much bacon, I could see that. But she puked 4x in one day!! Then slept most of yesterday and felt fine this morning and even did her homework early this morning. So before DC1 had to go to school DC2 started puking. So I grab an empty coffee can and bring it with us so I can get DC1 to school w/ a lil less mess *sigh* So then I get a call 2hrs later DC1 is sick and they had to wash her up and give her some spare bottoms & new undies. Wake the other two up go and get DC1. Get everyone settled and start yet another load of icky wash. The phone rings and no sooner does it ring my DC3 starts puking in his tray on his highchair, he had it from both ends and mind you a moment before that DC1 got sick got them both cleaned up and maybe 15min before those 2 DC2 puked all over the floor yet again....... School said that they are getting 3 kids atleast a day with similar symptoms! But still this is our second round in just under 3 weeks! Please pray hubby & I don't get this disaster of a virus again! We cannot afford to loose hours at work. Plus I don't like taking care of anyone but myself when I'm really really ill but if hubby is at work you have to do whatcha have to do.

I suggest disinfecting everything! Wipe down everything with a water and bleach solution if you can to help kill the germs. Make sure you tackle the door handles and everything all the places that everyone touches. Then, put a humidifier in the house. Turn that thing on and let it run constantly. Germs don't spread as easily in a house or an environment where there is some humidity in the air. It's harder for people to get sick when the germs aren't traveling so easily.

I have been cleaning everything with Lysol or bleach/water combo since we came down with it. I never heard of a humidifier aiding in slowing or preventing the spred of germs.

There was a news article on Yahoo about it awhile ago.

I am beginning to wonder what it will take to get rid of the Flu and Cold virus as well. I think that somewhere they are missing the Boat this yr. and there needs to be more they can do for this. Either a medication they can give, or a better way to keep this from being spread back and forth all of the time as well. If I were you it might be worth your interest to check with the Doctor to see if there is anything you can do, and just up your Vitamins and such in the meantime as well. Wishing you the Best.

LOL - It'll never stop!! As a mom of 4 (2 biological and 2 step) I can really feel your pain on this one. We've been fighting similar issues all winter. Around here part of the problem seems to be that we get different viruses from different schools and pass them all back and forth. The stepkids live with their mom in another town and only are here every other weekend. All winter it seems like those weekends are basically little travelling vacations for viruses though as about 2 days after the weekend at least one of the bunch is sick in some way again. I can only count my blessings that I have a very high immune system and rarely get sick. Good luck to you and yes, it will eventually end...... I HOPE!!

Oh no! That stinks for your family since the virus' isn't all from one school but 2 plus everywhere in between. My sister-in-law stayed with us before she traveled back to her family out of state and I warned her not to visit with us as we've got some sort of virus & i told her I didn't want to hear her complain once she caught it! *LOL* sure enough she caught it one of her kids and my other sister-in-law's family caught it too! So not only did this go from town to town it went out of state now too!

We went to the Dr last week because of the duration of the symptoms and w/ the two kids still afflicted with it being young we were concerned. We were just told it's a slow moving virus and we just needed to wait it out as it was not accompanied by a fever.
