severe head-ach

i suffer from a very severe kind of head ach. its called migrain headach. starts from my left eye...thru neck to back....i have this from childhood. the frequency of its occurence has decreased as i have grown but the intensity increased. it remains for 4-5 days and after it is gone i become very weak...it simply eats me inside...doctors say that it will go after an age and there is no such cure for this..neither there are any concrete reasons for its occurence. if any one have got rid of this please help me....any suggestion to keep it away, i will be glad.

In the USA we have several new medicines for migraine. They don't work of everyone but do help a lot of people. I had these headaches for many years, from about the age of 12 to 55 and I missed school and work because of them. The pain just disables you. I don't know what you can find in India, maybe you can find out on the internet. Good Luck

I studied some cases with migraine, in the Net. Most of them say that they have undergone some medicatons like Imitrex,Axert,Maxalt,Botox injection....they say that these helped them minimizing the attack....but I am worry about the side affects...one of my cousin lost his both kidneys for taking regular medicines...I am thinking of trying Yoga....
probably mine is also hormonal....because sometimes when I get excited or a friend of mine visits me then while we talk the migraine vanishes.
Once when I was watching India-Australia cricket match and India suddenly started winning a loosing game,out of excitement migraine vanished. So I think it has some things to do with hormons and enzymes in the body...
