Well I have to say that I am not very happy with my cat today. Last night my husband and I were sitting in bed watching a movie after our sick children finally fell alseep. It had only been a few minutes into the movie when we heard a loud crash come from the living room. The first thing I thought was that my cat had knocked down our tv and I went running. It's a good thing that I got downstairs as fast as I did, turns out it wasn't the tv. It was my fish tank. I was furious. I have a fighting fish and he is beautiful, I have him in a spacious tank because I hate the little cups they leave them in at the pet stores. Anyway, the poor fish was flopping around on the floor amid his destroyed tank. I quickly scooped him up and put him up in a temp home. I then went about cleaning up the broken pieces the plants and the rock that all go in the tank. Needless to say I wasn't able to get all the water out of the carpet so I left some towels to soak up the mess and fixed up my fish for the night. I also made certain that my cat, his food and his treats spent the night in the basement. I have his bed and most of his toys down there and truthfull he likes to spend most of his time down there but I always feel bad about leaving him downstairs at night. Do you think I am being mean? What would you do? Please keep in mind that my cat is very inteligent and has opened things that no one thought he could.
