Is it really necessary to mark a "Best Response"? Everybody who response to my discussion are good. I just can't label one person. Some people answer my question that I need answer. Some answer half and then other person will finish it. The decision is so hard to make "best". I know that you can tell you been marked best response. It just seem unfair. Do you always mark "Best Response"?

I sort of with you that I am happy when anyone joins my discussions and I try to comment back to most of them. I do sometimes give a best response if the person really hits the nail on the head with a good point, or if they make me laugh sometimes. I think we all look for something different in a response, so I just keep on posting and hope someone reads and appreciates my opinion, whether I get a best response or not. Thanks for the post!

I dont always mark best response. Like you say sometimes its hard to tell who has a better response. Or in some cases it seems like half the responses say the same thing. Thats why i tend not to mark those. If i feel i must then i just choose one. Either way i make somebody feel good.

I'm glad someone fills the same way I do. I get enjoyment reading the comments to my discussion.

Yes, it is very important to mark the best response to make the discussion 'conclusive' and termed as 'resolved'. If you do not mark the best response, the discussion will continued to be shown as 'unresolved', which is not a healthy practice. I agree that sometimes it is more than one response, which deserve the tag of the best response, but you are supposed to choose 'First among the Equals'. So please be courageous and mark the best response to your unresolved discussions. All the best.

We are not forced to choose a best response to all of our discussions so if I think there is no "best response" at all, I don't choose one. But if there are equally good answers, I have to look for other qualification as to whom should I give the best response award. For example, I may give the BR to a new member to encourage him/her to participate more. As long as there are best responses, I really look for means to award anyone of the deserving members because it will make myLot a more enjoyable community.
