When does the rating appear

Hi folks, I am kinda new here, I read a few discussions about how the ratings go uo and down but to my displeasure I cant see my rating. I can see your rating near your profile pic, id it like you have to make certain posts before your rating appear or is like 0 rated that is the lowest. One more question I had was like does it affect the earnings as well or is it just a reputation factor ?
