Would you buy food that was wet?

No, I am not talking about liquids... I am talking about the outside appearance of a box, can, bottle, or bag. If the item was wet and there was no apparent leak or evidence of a leak on the floor, would you still buy the food? Would you take it to customer service or would you leave it there?
I think that if the item was wet I would not want to touch it, I would go to customer service though and tell the people there that I found the item and that it was wet, and tell them where I found it. Most likely it was either something that splashed and it was already cleaned, or it was from something else that was there before and hadn't been properly cleaned!

I think I would leave it there if I didn't have anything to pick it up with. I would be courteous though and atleast say that I saw it. I know you can never tell what's on things today. I appreciate the response.

I would NOT buy any food item that has a wet exterior. I don't even like to buy dented cans. At the store I shop at I would have to take to a check-out person since there is no customer service. Don't know that I would even consider doing that. I know that I probably should, but it would depend on how much extra time I had and so on. Good for you that you would consider taking it to the customer service place. Best wishes!

dented cans are okay but I'd want to inspect them myself! If I were to take anything to customer service, I'd make sure I had something to hold it with or I thoroughly washed my hands afterwards!

This is a really good discussion baby,just like all the other discussions you seem to come up with,and I have never given much thought to what I would do if I found a food that was wet,and I am sure that different people would have different opinions of what they would do,and I think if I found a food that was wet but had not apparent leak I would leave it there,get another one,and I would inform one of the employees since I would have not idea what the liquid could be and I agree it could be something that splashed and had already been cleaned up,or something that was not properly cleaned up,and I hope that we never have to deal with this situation even though sometimes I wonder about the people who work at our local Wal Mart,I love you with all my heart and soul,have a great day,good luck with your mylotting,especially your tasks,and Happy Posting.
