On July 7th 2007, more than 2000 couple got married in western countries, for 7 is considered to be the god's number according to the bible, god created the world within 6 days and rested on the 7th day, which could be the reason the movies are names James bond 007; Snow White and Seven Twarfs...there are 7 music notes....
On August 8th 2008, the Beijing Olympic Games was held, and thousands couples also chose that date to get married, for the number 8 sounds like "good fortune" in Chinese, if your car plate number or phone number is 8888888, you can sell it at a unbelievable high price...

I haven't heard that Latvia would have its own lucky number. I agree with number 7, it counts as lucky in whole world, including my country. on 7.07.2007. was a record of done marriages! As you already said, number 7 is features in many things in the world which might mean that many years ago people assumed this number as lucky. Would like to know the reason!
For me personally, I love number 4. I used to be good at sports and all my numbers for running long distances included this number. It meant a luck for me.
