Is friendship for a lifetime?

Friendships are precious, and like any other precious thing, they are delicate. A true friendship goes beyond acquaintanceship but often the two are confused. In a real friendship there is honesty and depth. There is mutual caring and mutual commitment in a true friendship. There is capacity for disappointment but more importantly room for forgiveness. Any true friendship will have ups and downs but at the end what matters is the bond of trust and faith which makes the friendship for a lifetime.
