Hi, during the recent two week, there have been two heavy snowfall in my city, Shenyang, China. But I read in papers that Beijing cast artificially induced snow to fight against drought, then I doubt if the snow in my place are both artificial and are they harmful to the environment, or to the plants?

That is a very interesting question, I know they have artificail snow sometimes in the Australian snow firlds and when you think about it i guess there must be some sort of chemical involved so I too wonder if it is safe or just another man mase blunder to our health.
