Rafer Alston has gone, the news is a bit unexpected. I don't know Lowry, so I just hope Brooks can grow quickly. There are lots of issues about this trade's truth, my opinion is the team begin rebuilding, especially for 2010. Artest will get a long contract with Houston this year as long as he performs steadily, his personality is needed by this team(Yao and T-mac are feeble). T-mac is disappointed, he is not ambious and responsible, I don't think there are no team considering his current performing wants to have his big contract. So he will finish his job till 2010, then Houston has the salary space to resign Yao and chase Wade, Nash or other.

I agree with you. Today Rockets won 93-86 to Mavericks, Brooks and Lawry both played well, so it showed it is not unsucsessful trade.

A lot basketball fans especially who supports the Rockets supposed that T-MAC would be traded if the Rockets have any trade activity, but the result was that Rafer went to another team, which confusing fans a bit, now what we can do is to expect that he will do well in a new place and the Rocket will become better and better in the future.

I think the one who benefited from this trade was Orlando. With Nelson out for the season, I guess they were looking for an OK point guard and I guess they found that in Alston. Hopefully he does well in Orlando.

I think Orlando really benefited from the trade in short term, but when Nelson comes back next season, it will be a little luxury at PG position(Nelson 7.7m and Alson 4.9m), Orlando will feel salary pressure in the future.
