I read about it recently. There is a relatively new concept of hypnotism helping you in dieting. Actually you do not lose weight by hypnotism, it is actually an aid in building up your will power. The suggestions given to a person in a hypnotic state make him more determined and people with a weak will power can be given hypnotic suggestion to stay away from fattening foods and to do more exercise etc. Has anyone heard of it or tried it out?

haha this makes me think of my friend i had that went to a hypnotism class with her fiance to quit smoking.. well her fiance fell asleep and started snoring while under and it snapped her out of it.. she continued to smoke and he stopped completely because it had worked on him but since he broke her concentration or whatever you want to call it she got no benefit.. he didnt start smoking again till we all went on a trip and we almost got into a pile up then had to jump an median and then almost got hit again.. the stress from almost getting killed 2 x in like ten minutes made him smoke (everyone else in the car but me were smoking already) and so he went back to it.. i wonder though if that stressful night hadnt happen if he would have been cured or not

I've never tried it, but I have heard of it. I don't recommend it. I'm not sure I truely believe in Hypnotism anyway. To me if you aren't strong enough to do it on your own, then you won't be able to keep with it with the little help its giving you.
