Johnny Deeps is best known for his distinct Roles, from Jack Sparrow to Charlie Brown, he has entirely no similar looks in each movies. So tell me, which according to You is the best role he has ever done? To me, it is obviously, that Pirate movies.....he's is totally unrecognizable...

That's a tough one because he's such a wonderful actor. I liked him in Willi Wonka, Pirates of the Carribean, Edward Scissorhands, and Sleepy Hollow. He's so crafted. However, his best role would be in the Libertine. I was just awed with his acting ability. I truly think he needs to live his dream and play Hamlet just once because he has a gift. It's just a shame that the Academy has yet to acknowledge him.

I just had a vision of Johnny as Hamlet and HBC as Ophelia.... Carter would be a hundred thousand times more convincing as Ophelia than Kate Winslet

The 1st time I saw him as Willi Wonka, I was able to detect it was really him. He looked rather so indifferent. Sooner or later, he 'll indeed recieve an Acknowledgement, which Im quite sure about.

Oh, she'd be great as Ophelia. And I agree sooner or later they'll recognize his talent.

I think Edward Scissorhands and J. M. Barry are probably my absolute favorites but there are so many wonderful roles to choose from. Even though Finding Neverland was not one of my favorite movies overall, I was completely enthralled by Johnny Depp's performance. I am utterly twitterpated over the forthcoming Alice in Wonderland. The promo photos of him in his Mad Hatter costume really set the tone for the whole movie, which, needless to say will be fittingly dark.

P.S. Who is this Charlie Brown you speak of? Did you mean Charlie Bucket, the "Charlie" from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?"

Johnny Depp was suitable creepy as Sweeney Todd but that was such a horrible movie...So dark and the cannibalism thing really put me off eating pies unless they specifically state whats in it eg.steak pie

I think what was so great about Edward Scissorhands is that he says probably 100 words in the whole film. Most of it is facial expressions and body language. That's hard to do. And it really marked his career. Before that his roles were all basic, ordinary guys without a whole lot of anything interesting. Then along comes a brilliant, and borderline insane, man named Burton and the rest was history!

Well, I'm that too in the position to make remarks about His Role... But, yes, that was a good role and he played good too...
