Should you have a heavy breakfast or a light one?

I used to have a really heavy breakfast so that I do not feel hungry for the rest of the day, but I realized that after a heavy breakfast, I feel lethargic all day. With a full stomach, a lot of energy is diverted to digesting what you have eaten. Is it ok to have a heavy breakfast or should one eat light or rather skip breakfast to stay alert and energetic?

I prefer to have heavy breakfast every morning because I have more energy after. I have to fill myself up since I am a busy mom. There is no day off for me so I need to eat well for more energy every day.

I'm used to eat a heavy breakfast everyday. Lucky me I have a mother who cooked delicious meals everyday. I don't need snacks because three meals a day is already enough for me.

Skipping breakfast is a definite no no! Taking at least one beverage would help but never skip. Having a heavy breakfast doesn't mean you can skip lunch or dinner that's not good. If you had a heavy breakfast, then you can eat lightly during lunch or dinner. As for me I sometimes eat heavy breakfast and sometimes light if I'm dieting. I sometimes forget about it though when I"m too hooked up in front of the PC.

just eat as per your hunger. if you feel hungry, then go ahead and have a big breakfast. if not, then have a light one anyway, as eating something for breakfast is important.

Hey there! Maybe you ate foods that are not easy to digest that's why don't feel well. I use to eat heavy meals to in the morning but foods that are easy to digest. I eat eggs, rice, potato, and vegetables. I also drink milk or orange. Sometimes I just eat banana If I'm in a hurry. Have a nice weekend.

Normally I have a light breakfast, but with good balance of all the nutritions. I am afraid of being burdened too much at a time just waken up, when my digesting system also needs awakening. But at high star hotels, I cannot reject the lure from the standard breakfast served there. I would find excuses of not waste the rare chances, and after taking a heavy breakfast there, I might skip my lunch to feel less full.

I would say a moderate amount would be sufficient. Not to light and not to heavy either. They say it's better to eat in the morning as to keep yourself energized and alert, so skipping breakfast would not be good either!
