So I've been a college nearly have a year now, and I havn't made any real friends. Friends that I can go to lunch with and stuff. Instead i have friends, who don't really want to know, and just talk to me. whenever they feel like it? Y'know? I do have some friends that I can hagn around with at lunch, but they are not my own friends if you get what i mean? They have other people to talk to, and hang around with. and i'm on the corner by myself. Does anyone have any tips on what I should do? Should I just keep myself to myself or should I try to make new friends? Well I don't really think that is possible anymore, because everyone has made friends at college. Anyway please tell me what you think.

When you put it like, "They have other people to talk to, and hang around with," it sounds a bit selfish, because everyone has other people to talk to. But I understand your feelings. Sometimes I feel so lonely and possessive of my friends that I don't want them to be with other people, and it feels like I'm watching them from afar. I can't really give you any good advice, since I've never really found a quick way out of the situation, but it sounds like you've never really tried to integrate yourself into the community. I guess all you can do is start talking to more people, like those in your classes, and talk about the things you're interested in. It might seem awkward at first but there's not much else that you can do.

No not in the selfish kind. As in they just talk to other people and not to me? Do you get what I mean? Yeah I guess, but thats what I have been doing. I'll just give it time. Thanks for your response.
