Would this bother any one else?

Recently while my daughter was home for a visit from college, we went out to a fairly nice restaurant for dinner. While waiting on our meal one of the waiters brought out a tub of silverware to roll up in the napkins. Well he would roll one set of silverware up and lay it on a chair. Now I am sorry but this just totally grossed me out! The napkin that we all use to wipe our mouths off was being set on a seat where someones tail had been. I know I can get a little extreme sometimes about germs and all, but please someone tell me if this would have bothered you too?

Hi destanita...I dont think it would bother me that much personally. I would think that he should not be doing it for sanitary reasons and it should be brought to his attention. However you did say it was a fairly nice restaurant, and sometimes they also wipe off the seats..At least I have seen that many times here in canada. He certainly isnt doing the restaurant owner any favours either by doing this in public.

yes that bothers me also. i should see cleaniness everywhere and if that place where i go is not clean i will tell to the waiters or that restaurent management and if they clean or take off dirty things only, i will order food.otherwise i will go from that restaurent if they are not neat. here in our place ,all restaurents are good and i feel comfortable with these restaurents because of their cleaniness .when we order food also, they will arrange in a good way.and i like their manners also .

Things like that bother me as well. All I can think about is someone picking their nose and wiping a booger on the chair and then my napkin was sitting there... I think about stuff like that all the time. There have been times that I have even checked under the table for gum before I sit down, and if there is any I will move or tell the waiter, to move me. I am odd like that though.
