Have you ever working a telemarketing job? Was it cold sales or where they called you? I ask cause my husband is doing it right now.. was it depressing for you too?

I do telemarketing right now, but I only do inbound (customers call me). I am no good at cold calling. You still get the occasional mean person with inbound calls, but not nearly as many as with outbound cold calling. You have to be brave to do cold calling. You get chewed out and hung up on a lot.

Yeah you have to be exceptionally brave to do cold sales.. He will get into an incentive program in another 60 days and then maybe the job won't be so depressing for my hubby.

I have been a telemarketer for 2 years and it didnt affect me. What is so stressful in this job are the supervisors and managers who are pressuring for higher sales quota. After reaching the targeted sales, they will even ask for more.

Yes two times. No, it wasn't depressing. You have to be strong to people hanging up on you or screaming at you. After all, you are bugging them. But, you can make lots of money. I did.
