In One Of The Worlds Richest Countries?

In One Of The Worlds Richest Countries? in this case Norway. We struggle with high costs on social welfare. People will get help, and it's free (well, a minimum cost) but it takes a long time to help. The nearest relation to the patient won't get the help that is necessary. So the welfare is far from complete. The roads are poor, the train tracks are fom the 2 world war. We have high suicide numbers and there are a lot of dark numbers on depression. The food costs are high, alcohol & tobacco is expensive the salary is high, but we have a lot of foreigners who abuse the system. You are guaranteed a safe income if you have had a job, but it can take long time before you'll get help. And more problem to come. Is there anything in this world that works perfect? How is this compared to other countries?

I hope the people of the U.S. take a good hard look at your and other European nations that have such massive programs and learn a lesson. As bad as things are, the direction we a looking, which is looking more and more like Europe, will lead to the exact same situation your nation is facing. SO far things haven't reached the critical mass they have in Norway or some other nations, but the things we are doing now will surely lead us there. Yes, something needs to be done, but what we are doing is excellerating the problem, instead of reversing it.

Yes we are made from europeans and all the others you mentioned, but we became the great nation we were because we rejected the governments and ideologies they held and did it our way. Our founders drafted a nearly foolproof blueprint and contract and system of government, that works beautifully when adhered to. And as we see from the troubles we have now, if we don't abide by those princiapls, things go horrbly wrong. I'm all for being interconnected with the world, but to sacrifice the principals we were founded on and to throw out the constitution, which would be nessesary to be as involved as some, including the u.n. and some european nations, want us to be, is a thought that is so vile and abhorent to us, it equates outright blashpemy.

The way i see it, we should unite as a world. As internet has connected the whole world into one unit. We have loads of other goods here in Norway too. For instant if you see all the right you have and don't need to fight to get, there are many goods. Scandinavia is still one of the worlds best countries to live in. Roads aren't the biggest needs for human kind. Collective transportation is developing and there are many ways to go. But still we are a happy nation and i would'nt trade my red Norwegian passport against no other countries in the whole wide world. But we are far from perfect. I think USA should see the benefits of Europe. Europe has long traditions and USA is built by Europeans, Asians, Africans, Americans & Oceania. So why not look more into the past. We can look backwards and learn from our mistakes and make a better future.

It is the same in this country too even worse. I won't say that my country is the richest one but it do have the problems. Here there is nothing called social welfare for everyone and the lucky one who is entitled to get it, will get it in 1-2 years. There is no road in some villages. Food costs are very high

In Norway you can demand it. It is your right to have money if you loose you job. 1-2 years is too long for waiting for some money.

Social programs are great. The idea of paying taxes for free hospital works very well. But now it more a political game, but still they try to help everybody as good as we can. I would nt trade it for the social problems in the states. No way.
