Lip Balm/ Lip Gloss: Do you use SPF ones?

This morning I just dug out a lip balm which has SPF on to use because I can see that the sun is shining outside! I suddenly think that maybe we do forget to sun block our lips from time to time. So how many of your use lip stick, lip balm or lip gloss with SPF in it? I am now using MAC Lip Conditioner with SPF 15 in it and hopefully that will last through the summer!

I usually buy Clinique lipstick and it already has sun protection (I think). I wonder if a person really needs sunblock on her lips...I live in FL and when I'm swimming or whatever, I may not have my lipstick on.

I think so, because the sun tends to dry out everything. Yes Clinique usually has SPF15 in its lipsticks!

I had never really thought about putting sun cream on my lips. I am not very big on any creams or moisterisers or lipstick anything like that so I guess it is not really surprising. I live in the tropics the sun is just a part of life, I am always sun smart with hats and covering up so I tend not to worry about suncream. It can get a bit greasy when it is hot, and it is nearly always hot here

I don't love hats and that's why I have to rely on wearing sun block!

hello wondericequeen i think that i have had a tube of Avon's lip gloss like that before that has had the SPF 15 in it as well. i remember opening a new tube of it a couple of years ago, and saying, hum, SPF 15 in it? ok then. lol the only kind of lipstick that i like to wear are real light colors, and i wear lip gloss everyday of the year. lol i cannot stand it when that i am out in the wind during the day and do not have anything on my lips to protect them from getting chapped. that is an awful feeling when that your lips gets chapped like that. but about the only kind of lip gloss that i do use is Avon's lip gloss, and also sometimes i will use Estee Lauder lip gloss that i might happen to recieve as a gift from somebody. take care and have a beautiful day today!

None of my current lip balms have SPF in their consistence. I have heard that they are good to use so I should probably think of getting one like that. Even if the sun isn't shining we still get ultra-violet light. SPF consistence is beneficial in beauty products.
