Do you add more interests when you dont see anything you want to write on

I add new interests when responding to a discussion and I am asked if I want to respond to it. Very rarely am I at a loss as to which discussion to respond on. I am certainly never 'bored'. There are thousands of discussions here and if there is not one in my notifiers, or in the hot topics or in my interests or in the no responses then I go to the profile of one of my friends and look there. I don't start many of my own because there are already, in my opinion, more than enough out there already.
