Heaven as final destination

Most of the believers believed that his final destination will be in heaven. Jesus ascended to heaven so we can also conclude that we are going to be in heaven. Heaven is a place for spiritual being. It is also termed as the spiritual realm. Paul, in one of his epistles said that he was caught up to the third heaven. Therefore heaven has levels. But do you know that heaven and the Kingdom of God is different?? Heaven will not be our final destination. It will only serve as a lobby for the believers. While waiting for the second coming, the saints were located in heaven. But when the time comes, the saint will go back to earth again. Yes! All the saint will go back to earth again! Therefore, heaven is not the final destination of man but earth. According to Psalms 115:16 "The highest heavens belong to the Lord but the earth he has given to man." Inline with this, God already set things up so that man will really go back to earth. The resurrection of the dead is a clear evidence that God don't want us in heaven but be on earth.

Hi there ronharold, that is a different way of looking at it. I have been reading a book about where do we go when we die. I am in the 5th Chapter which I must say so far is a pretty good book. I am a believer and I have been thinking about joining a church lately. I was rasied Chirstian but I never got into church, but my kids are getting a little older and I feel they and I need some people that are believers around us for support, I appericate you sharing your thoughts here and I hope you have a great day online.

It's true -- referenced many times in the Bible when talking about the end days. God's Kingdom will be on Earth, just as He originally intended before the fall. Kudos to you for seeking out a church for your children! It's so important to be surrounded by Christian brothers and sisters. We were never meant to go through life alone!

Well, you're very close to the truth here. It won't be the earth as we know it though. Eventually, after all the believers are called up to heaven and Christ has had his reign on this earth, it will be destroyed and a new earth created. It will be the way it was originally intended -- like the garden of eden, free of the taint of sin. That's the earth that will hold the eternal Kingdom! "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea." Rev. 21:1

Yes I agree to you that the earth that believers are going to is the new earth mentioned in Rev 21:1.

Thanks for the compliment! This is the avatar I use all over the place, so if you see it anywhere it's either me or someone who stole it from me (since I made the color changing background myself.) Friend request accepted.
