Why is the Simpsons most favourite catoons in America ?

I've watched the Simpsons and i do love it. but one thing i don't figure out, why is it the most beloved than any others ? can you simpon fans give me the answers ?

the characters can be identified with, I mean i've done a lot of things Homer,Lisa,and bart have done. Wow!

I think the Simpsons is the most favourite cartoon in America because it really shows the real average American family and it's also a very funny show. Also, it's not just another cartoon for little kids, everybody can watch and enjoy this.

I don't know much about simpsons. What I like most in cartoons are Tom and Jerry, and Mr Bean...

Because The Simpsons are a very accurate portrait of the society...not only of the american society.I mean,you can find everywhere people with the same virtues and cefects than Homer,Lisa and all the guys.Or maybe I am just going too far...They are very funny
