Do you ever feel unhappy and you are sure why you are unhappy? How do you get yourself happy again? Do you every figure out how to avoid this unhappy moment? Do you look for quick comforts to lift your spirits again? Like for example chocolate, food, shopping, a movie, etc. I get these moments when I am just so unhappy and then I don't know what to do. And nothing seems to make it better. I just wondering if anyone has advice on how to deal with it.

life they say is a roller coaster ride. one day you are happy, the next day you are sad. so every time i am unhappy, i do many things to beat the sadness. i stay in my room and cry to release all my emotions, or listen to my favorite music, or i try on a new make up technique and hair do, or i write about my depression and post it in my blog.

Hi there! Of course, if I am unhappy, I am really unhappy. It is easier to know that you are really unhappy than if you're really happy. How do I get myself happy again? Well, I don't dwell on the unhappy thoughts. I try to avoid the thoughts by making myself busy doing things that really matters. Sometimes I go to my friends and I talk to them and they would do somethings that would really cheer me up. I do my best to avoid or get rid of the source of my unhappiness. I was once unhappy because there are many times that I was cheated on by my ex. Since she's just making me unhappy most of the time, I broke up with her. Getting rid of her was getting rid of the source of my unhappiness. If I lost something it makes me unhappy, but I try to think that when I lost something there is something better that would come. I always try to be optimistic. Being negative can be a source of unhappiness that's why I always focus on the positive side of things. Lastly, I put it in mind that I don't deserve to be unhappy.

Hi! Thank you for your response. It is always good to focus on the positive. I am trying to bring myself to only think of the positive. It is a good think you dumped your ex and dropped your unhappy feelings. I try not think of the things that make me unhappy but I notice when I like do something else or think of something else the unhappy thoughts come back. It is like eventually you have to come to terms with whatever it is that is making you unhappy. take care!

Yes it happens. Getting outside and taking a walk on a nice day helps. Or listening to music. Or just smiling.

thank you for your respsone dawnald. That sounds like a good idea. When the weather gets better that will be something to consider. It is tooooooo cold right now. My husband smiles at me because he knows that when someone smiles I can't help but smile, even when I am angry. Music can be relieving too, I will try that. Thanks again, take care!

Shopping always works for me! It could be shopping for a present for someone or shopping for a book or something else simple. I don't mean a crazy shopping spree or something! Because afterward you get more depressed because you're in debt. Also, being in the sun or even a bright room helps me. Venting by talking to a friend usually helps too.
