How often do you actually reach your 5 a day?

I do it quite frequently, probably every other day if not every day. I like veg so it's not that hard for me. I know some people really don't like fruit and veg, so they are less likley to actually make their 5 a day. How about you?

A friend of mine recently taught me something which helped me to get all my veges and fruit. Usually I eat an apple with my lunch and some celery. Then at home I put into a blender 2 cups of water, 2 cups of lettuce (spring mix), 8 - 10 berries (any type), one lemon - peeled and seeded, 1/4 banana and 2 slices of fresh ginger. Blend until it is all the consistency of a shake and drink. Tastes not too bad and you get your veges in.

Not every day but ill normally have atleast 3 fruit or veg a day. I like veg more than fruit, so veg makes up more of my 5 a day.

Almost never. I don't get to eat five fruits a day. The most I get is 2 whole apples a day and that's about it. Most of the time, I'd even go through the day without fruits because I didn't buy any for myself - cutting back on expenses and such. I keep a photo food-log and when I reviewed what I ate in the past few days, I saw that I didn't have a whole fruit for myself for the past few days. http://yesterdaymeal.blogspot.com

I don't really measure it, but I do eat a lot of veggies: peas, corn, broccoli, green beans, celery, carrots, squash. Usually one of these a day, so I'm probably under, but sometimes I eat a number of servings at once or eat a huge salad, so in the end I imagine I am about right on, but can't say for sure.

I am just like you, I love fruit and some veggies. But I can eat a huge bowl of fruit, which may sound great but it is so filling I miss the other daily requirements, so I saw a nutritionist. They said you can have 1/2 cup cut up mixed fruit or one piece ex. banana. I was so bummed I love fresh raspberries, in fact there is not a fruit I do not like, but it is true fruits/vegs are good in moderation. I am mostly a vegetarian, so it limits my choices quite a bit. I wanted to let you know from what my nutritionist said, you should follow the USDA pyramid for maximum nutrition. But I do know what you mean I could live on my big bowl of fruits, and I mean big or veggies, if your a vegetarian, the key may be the veg in it. Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one who loves fruits/veggies! Most people hate them, but I guess we are different. I still eat them, but do try to add other things to our diet, eating just veggies can lead to a severe eating disorder, so just becareful and healthy
