What would you do if you heard a big BOOM?

I live near Quantico and can hear them practicing from time to time. It just sounds like a big BOOM when I hear it. It doesn't happen too often, but from time to time I can her it. It's loud enough you can't miss hearing it. Occasionally there are days that I hear it 3-4 times. Most of the time if I hear it more than once it is all within one hour. I just heard it two times just now.
I was just wondering what you would do if you heard a big boom like that? I was thinking of people who recently moved here, and they hear it and are not used to it. If they would be scared or not...what do you think? What would you do?

When i lived in the city a while back i did once. I was sitting there with my baby feeding him. It was earlier then eight in the morning. I just heard a real big boom. Didn't know what it was. So i told my fiance about it when he got home. He said that there is a plant near by and it may of came from there. NEver heard anything again.

That's kind of weird, just to only hear it once and never again. Maybe it's not, I don't know. One time a friend was over and we heard that noise, she said "what was that?" looking at me kind of confused, I told her. She asked me "you can hear them from here?" I told her yeah, and then we didn't really talk about it anymore.

Honey, if it was me, I would HIT THE DECK! I don't know what they could be doing out there, but that sounds pretty noisy even if it is occasionally. I mean, if you were just minding your own business and an unexpected loud boom cut into your life it just makes your heart drop and you do what your instincts tell you.
