how many licks does it take to get to the middle of a tootsie pop??

i honestlly don't know, i've always stopped after a few licks, and either bit into it or just sucked it the rest of the time. im wondering has anyone actually licked it all the way and counted. oh and whats up ith lolly pops cutting your tounge sometimes, i hate those.

I thought it was "a-three" before the old owl got to the center =] According to Wikipedia and Purdue University on average its about 364 licks till you reach the center. =]

Sorry I haven't counted the amount of licks because I usually can't wait that long for the yumminess lol.
As for damn lollipop cutting your tongue it probably happens everytime I have one, but its worth the pain.
