SwapaDVD.com is a really cool site that lets you swap a DVD you have seen for one you haven't seen. It works like this, you sign up for the site (if you need the link-pm me, they do give credits for referrals), then you list the DVDs you want to get rid of. When someone requests your DVD then you mail it to them (you pay for the shipping), when the requester receives the movie you get a credit on the site and then you can request a movie. The really cool thing is that this site has two sister sites paperbackswap.com and swapacd.com and you can transfer credits from one site to another so if you want to get rid of books but get DVDs you can. I sent out 2 DVDs from the site but haven't requested any, but I have gotten 14 books from the sister site with no problem. In these economic times, we have to save money where we can and this is a good site to do it with. So have you heard of this site or used it? What do you think of it?

I am familiar with Paperbackswap.com, Aurone, and would definitely use it if I bought paperbacks. I used to buy a lot of paperbacks but not anymore. The only problem I have with this kind of system is the hassle of actually mailing them. I have been considering joining a movie rental club, but the thing that deters me is my poor record when it comes to mailing things.

Paperbackswap does more than paperbacks, it does hardbacks and audio books as well. If you rented from somewhere like netflix, there are no late fees, so mailing it back wouldn't be a problem except you might not have anything to watch and Netflix also has instant watch stuff that you can watch on your computer or TV (with a special box) so they can beam things to you instantly. I am actually watching Law and Order SVU through their instant watch.
