SHOULD WE EXPECT WHEN WE HELP OTHERS ?

I never expect anything in return when I do something for someone else. I do things because I want to, not because I want anything from anyone else. I feel happiest when I'm doing something for others.

I don't think we should expect anything when we help others. We are suppossed to help others out of te goodness of our hearts not for what we can get out of it. To me if you give expecting to get, that kind of negates the whole idea of actually "giving".

No help should be done willingly and whole heartedly we shouldnt expect anything back, but can definetly expect back their smile and affection.

You can expect, but not from the person you've helped out. I believe in the Karma so what goes around comes around. You can expect to be helped out when you help other people because on the grand scheme of things we should all be helping each other.

it would be nice to get something in return it is also good to give without getting anything in return because some can only give a smile in return.

Expect! What is there to expect? Are you doing it for a returned favor? Then you should ask or tell that person you wish they return the favor some day then it is clearly not an expectation and you will know if you will be turned down. When we go out of our way to help sometimes such as friends or family we do expect that if ever you are in need that they will remember your gift of helping and come to your rescue as well. I think at times we feel unappreciated when we do help others in that way and never get any help back. I do help others expecting anything but mere appreciation a Thank you is sufficient for me.

I feel that you should always strive to give of yourself, to help others, to treat everyone the way you would wish to be treated yourself, without any expectations.

well i can't say abt others but i never expect as i help if i really wish to n i love to help my frnds in their probs but i don't expect from them coz i believe if sumone really care 4 u u never need to expect they r with u always
