There is a story by Rabindranath Tagore, nobel prize winner, called 'Punishment'Its a story of two brothers where one kills his wife and the other one tries to save him by asking his own wife to take the blame upon herself by saying that she did that murder for self defence. The words he uses to justify himself here are'If I lose my wife I can get another but if my brother is hanged who can replace him?'If you are asked to chose between a sibling and spouse honestly whom will you chose?

whoa. that guy obviously doesn't love his wife. not at all. I'd probably save the one who has more responsibilities, of course I love them both, but one of them deserves to live more than the other. It really depends, if my sister has 10 kids and my husband is the person I love the most, I will still have to save my sister because it's for the common good, i mean more people will be harmed if she gets taken away. i guess I'm a martyr...huhuhu. LOL. No, not at all. Cuz I love them both anyway, just 2 different kinds of love.

I will choose the sibling.I think the spouse will also choose the sibling as well since it is the duty of a parent to take care of the child they brought into the world.

I would sacrifice me with all of them. I won't choose anyone but will try to save everyone. I can't choose from wife and brother. It is like choosing your left eye or rght eye!

The innocent one. lol. Why would I save a brother that killed his wife? he could kill someone else. Could kill you. So by having your spouse take the blame for a sibling you've kept a killer in society, and gotten rid of your partner. You're going to find another one? Who wants to be with the guy with the pyscho killer sibling? no one.
