Do you lick your fingers when you touch something sweet or yummy?

Now think about the statistics on how many people wash their hands after using the bathroom. Think about it for just a minute. I know there are lots of times people just flush and walke out the door. Then they go eat something sweet and lick their fingers? Shudder!

Hello Bebs08! I guess we have so many things in common. I admit that I lick my fingers especially when eating sweets or junkfoods or something but I would never do it in public. I just thought it's not clean to see and it's like no manners and the composure. OMG! What? Licking the bowl of ice cream? hehehe..I don't think I'll ever do that..hahaha..

Yeah Bebs, I would always lick my fingers while touching stuff which is sweet or yummy while preparing foods at the kitchen. It’s quite normal for me to do this while preparing desserts especially doing the cake decoration, homemade ice cream or pickles. Of course I won’t do this while having food in the public as it’s a quite indecent gesture for a lady. I did see this often while people buying durian at the road side. Some of the people here at my place like to lick the flesh of the fruit sticking on their finger. Yeah, they use their finger to dig out a little bit of flesh from the small cut on the fruit. This is the way to test whether the fruit is ripe or not. Happy posting and take care.

Lol. I do! Most of the time. Especially when I pick the foods that I am eating and some will stick on my finger. It do not care doing that either in a restaurant or a party...lol. I just have to make sure no one sees me..lol. That's funny though.

I flick my fingers around to get rid of it or get something to wipe it on. hahahaha

hahaha. I usually just do that in home. And if I do it in public it is on accident.

i have seen people do that,its so unhygynieci make it a point to wipe my hands after every meal.its so disgusting when people belch in public after a meal.i think,its all about manners.

If I were in a public place I won't do that simply because I want my fingers clean before I lick it. I also make sure that I consume to the last grain of food on my plate even in public places but not to the point of licking my plate.

In parties and in public, I think we have to act with finesse. It's disgusting to see people doing that. It's okay for a child as they normally do that but not for adults. When inside your home, yes we can do that but doing it habitually even in public is something not at all tolerable.

I tend to do that when I like what I am eating and I am eating with my hands. Of course we should observe proper decorum at all times especially if we are eating in a public place but at home I can do that all the time. Especially if I am eating by hands you can't help but lick not suckle of course. . Since here in our country there are restaurants that offers chicken inasal (grilled chicken) I can't help but lick but again i have to be discreet!!! Btw, friend I came from Bacolod City and our place is known to offer the best chicken inasal in the country .

That is very disgusting to watch or see somebody doing that.

Sometimes we see it as disgusting if done in public. But humans acted the way they are. They forgot that there are times that things should better be done in private. People like this doesn't care much how we view them. But if I see one, I will just stay silent.

Hi bebs. I also lick my fingers while or after eating junk foods or chocolates. But I don't do that in public places. I will just wipe it in a tissue. and what more licking a bowl? wow! I don't ever do that. hahaha

i dont like lick my fingers, even at home. i even dont like use my hands to eat foods directly. chopstick is ok. and if i use my fingers inevitablly, i cleaned them at once. i wanna keep my hands clean. yes, i have seen many people licking their fingers in public, and they dont care about it, maybe they get used to the habbit. sometimes i lick the bowl of ice cream just for fun. it's u that looking at me?:)

In my opinion it is normal to all someone lick their finger when you touch something sweet and yummy food. Sometimes, i do that in my friends house but i am make sure no one saw me before i do that, hehehehhehe.

I know I do it sometimes and I shouldn't do it. especially at work because I'm around sick people all day so the last thing you wanna do is lick your fingers

We use "licking fingers" proverbially a lot of times but I would never do that, not in public at least ;) I have seen a few people in restaurant who would lick their fingers after having a particular dish and I find this behavior very yucky. I would just never be convinced enough to do something like this.

Wattah question! Great! L0l! ^_^ Well me, I only do that "finger licking" thing when I'm eating junk fo0ds or chocolates. I think it's normal. Hahaha..l0l! But, licking the bowl of ice cream when it was about to empty? Naaaaahh...It's like you don't have good manners! You can be compared to a dog licking its plate. L0l! ^_^

Yes i do that often too, especially when i am eating Kentucky fried chicken. Sometimes when i use my hand to eat a piece of cheese cake , i will tend to lick it. Don't worry, I'll make sure my hands and fingers and nails are clean. Shhhh at home after i finish the mushroom soup i will lick the bowl too. So what about you Bebs08 , do you do that? i wonder what is others answer.

I am a finger licker and proud of it! the difference is I wash my hands right away so That I can continue cooking on what I was cooking.
