I am nearly 30 and I played soccer once in 8th grade and I started at foreard but I never played before or after that. Now I want to play next year. I have 8 months to practice and I want to be good enough to start. I am in very good condition. I do track in spring. Do you think its possible?

You see its all dedication.I won't give you fancy lines to inspire you. But you can play soccer given the condition that you are fit and you can run. You just need someone who can show you things and then once it happens, then you body figures out to do it everytime. I have a room-mate who had never touched a football. I showed him couple of skill and now he can do around the world, take the ball on his neck, and many more stuff.... Anyone any-age can play soccer. Therefore its the best and the most popular game....and BEST OF LUCK

most important thing is to get fit and stay fit and with some basic training as passing and ball control you will definitely be able to play the game and improve as you go along. Best exercise to do is hit a ball against the wall and working on control. as you get better at it you can work on continuously hitting the ball against the wall with each foot. Works your control and co-ordination. good luck, I play and its a great game

anything is possible given the right training and state of mind, altho I guess depends what level you are looking at, as coming upto 30 you are prob looking at playing soccer at a very low level I would guess.

I think it is possible !! you can play it very well in 8 months, of course, you have to train yourself very hardly, and you have to find yourself a good coach. Believe yourself can do, then you can do it. Waiting for your good news ^^
