Can you remember some of the old sayings that your parents or grandparents used to use? For example, my mother used to say "My hind Leg" or "My foot in a bandbox" when she disagreed with something that had been said. There are so many interesting old sayings out there. If you live in different parts of America or the world, you will probably have sayings that the rest of us haven't heard. I think these interesting and sometimes weird sayings are a rich part of our heritage. Please share with the rest of us what you remember hearing, and what those sayings mean.

Hahahahaha! Where I live the saying is "lawsy Lawsy", and "Well I'll be" and "Poppycock". It's really fun hearing how others have different variations on the same sayings.

When i was a teenager i had attitude issues, like what teenager doesn't, but anyways my Mom would always say when i was being especially rude..."Watch it girl, I brought you into this world i can take you out." Now i knew she would never do it, but i also knew if i pushed far enough i would get hurt. That was like her warning phrase that i was pushing things to the limit.
