Hi every one happy mylotting and have good day here i have added some points that is about the non veg food advantages please let me know is alright.... Although vegetarian diet provides all the essential nutrients, there are certain factors that we can get in more amounts from the meat or fish. Vegetarian diet is found to be low in proteins, calcium, vitamin B12, iron and zinc. Vitamin B12 is found in soy products, fortified cereals and animal products in abundant amount. Meat is considered as the major source of vitamin B12. Soymilk, milk and other dairy products are the rich sources of vitamin D. Meat, chicken, fish and poultry contain more quantities of iron and zinc. Milk, cheese and yogurt are excellent sources of calcium. These nutrients are not found in large quantities in the vegetarian diet. Meat is a rich source of proteins and contains all the essential amino acids required by the body. Phosphorus present in the meat is easily absorbed than that present in legumes and cereals. Vegetarian diet is not recommended for bodybuilders, as they require a protein-rich diet. A diet lacking in sufficient carbohydrates and proteins can lead to anemia. Bowel irregularities can be commonly seen among the vegetarians. If your diet is totally free from fats, then it’s not good, because certain amounts of cholesterol and fat is necessary for the development of the nervous system and normal body functioning. Although, there are certain disadvantages of vegetarian diet, it definitely offers a number of health benefits. If you properly plan your diet, you can overcome the problem of nutrient deficiencies and improve your physical fitness and overall health. After all, healthy eating is a key to healthy living. Happy lotting I Wish you all healthy and wealthy life and happiest lotting every day. Thanks in advance.

There are different kinds of vegetarian diets out there. So, you can choose which ever one would fit your needs best. And I hear that it is totally possible to get all the nutriants that you need from being a vegetarian. I do have to wonder about all this info about amino acids (you can get liquid amino wich is vegetarian friendly) and omega oils and such. We are just finding out about this stuff newly in comparison to all things diet. So, I wouldn't write off a vegetarian diet just yet over that. Haha. It may not be as good as everyone says. For myself. Currently I do eat meat. But, I eat mostly veggies and vegetarian style in my life. I think that if we view meat as more of a treat and something to be savored when we do get it in our diets that is much better. I also like to focus more on getting my poultry and fish in than anything.

You know your stuff, iron can be found in eggs and dark green veg,b12 is in dairy cheese milk ect so unless you are a body builder who can take a b12 supplement there is no reason why everybody can eat and do what they wish in a way that suits them.Like you say a balanced diet six portions of carbs a day five portions of fruit and veg ,alittle fat ,little sugar, little salt, you should be fine moderation ,you actually need everything unless your health worker has told you otherwise, people go wrong because they hear something is bad for them and cut it right out of the diet altogether, then the body lacks and then you might get problems.Dont forget plenty of clear fluids two litres a day of fluid consisting of anything you like to drink avoiding sugary drinks as they will rot your teeth between us I think we have covered most things.xx

If you add eggs and milkproducts to your diet wuo'll get most things you'll need - B12 is one factor and some fats like Omega 3 that is hard to get in other forms (there might be in other products, but the body might not have the ability to take adcantege from them) iron is another thing - but there is a chance of getting enough even if you eat strictly vegetarian. Using iron cookingweare and add tomatoes to it will free iron from the pan and add to the food, eat fruits with vitamin C that will help with the up take. Don't drink milk when you eat food with much iron, nor drink coffee or tea and so on. If you pay a lot of attention to plan your food intake you can eat healty and get the things your body needs. Meat are a great sorce fopr proteine and iron - so it's easier to get it that way.

Protein for body builders is highly over rated. Most of those supplements they consume are just used as expensive energy sources. The August 1997 issue of The Physician and Sportsmedicine has the results of the latest research: "Based on a wide review of scientific data, current daily protein recommendations for serious strength trainers are about 0.6 to 0.8 grams per pound (1.4 to 1.8 g/kg)." In other words, a 140-pound strength trainer needs 84 to 112 grams of protein per day and a 200-pounder 120 to 160 grams. If you are just trying to maintain muscle mass 0.6 grams per pound is enough, but if you're training hard to build muscle the protein requirement goes up to the high end of the range, 0.7 to 0.8 grams per pound of body weight. Most people are able to get more than enough protein in a balanced diet through food. Vegans can get complete protein from combining food products. This is where you need education if you are removing certain categories of food from your diet. The vitamin B12 in soy products is a supplement as most vegetarians use soy to substitute soy for dairy and meat products that have lots of B12. Humans need essential fatty acids. These can be obtained from vegetable and fish sources. Again education is a must.
