Have you heard in the internet that AMD Phenom II x3 can be unlocked to Phenom II x4. The Fact is AMD Phenom II x3 is actually Phenom II x4 witha disabled core. W hat you need basically -AMD Phenom II X3 Processor -Mainboard that support "Advanced Clock Calibration feature"(Biostar TA790GX 128M ) Method -Set the appropriate BIOS setting for the Advanced Clock Calibration feature to "Auto", save settings and restart. The bios would activate the sleeping core to Active. Walla you got a Quad core amd at Tri core Price. From a forum state that the fourth core is actually working. http://www.techpowerup.com/86100/Phenom_II_X3_Can_be_Unlocked_to_Phenom_II_X4?.html (View Some screenshoot here) Whom ever has a AMD Phenom II X3 may want to test out the unlocking. Please feedback whether It works for you :)

I read somewhere that you only need to update you bios to the latest version and you will have the soft menu to select... happy tweaking.
