Do you feel compelled to rebel?

Would you agree with the statement, "Rules are meant to be broken"? How do you feel when rules are imposed upon you, be it in your school when you were a kid, or at work, by the government, at home, everywhere and anywhere. Have you broken any rules? Are you a rebel at heart? Why do you want to rebel? If you don't want to rebel, why not?

I was BORN rebellious! I always questioned why not? It can be good to be rebellious and also bad. As I got older I learned what to rebel against and what not to. My kids all got the rebellious gene from me so that has been interesting. It is a little hard for me to tell them they are being wrong when I did the same thing. We do need rules because it keeps us "civilized" but rebelling against unwritten rules like "girls can't do that' is another thing altogether! I will always be a rebel at heart, just a smarter one than I used to be!

Yes, some rules are not to be broken for the greater good. Like the traffic rules for example and maybe the rules for kids by their parents. Thanks for the response.
