What are your comments on the defeate of the republican party in the elections ?

I think Americans felt there was a need for a change. However, I do think giving the Democrats the majority in Congress while we still have a Republican president (with veto power) is basically going to lead to nothing getting done for a couple of years.

I am very happy about this. I do think the war with Iraq had a lot to do with it. Whether or not anything better happens with the Dems in the senate, I truly believe it was time for a change. Sometimes when you reach a standstill, or become stagnant, all you need is a different viewpoint.
