Hello all.
My friend falls in love with a girl.Her family is very wealthy while my friend is poor.Her family do not agree their marrige.They want to send their daugher to develop aboard.They try to persuad he to give up their daughter.they say he can mot give her happinese.My friend feels sad.He said to me that he would give up because he dares he can mot give her happinese.He did give up.
I feel sad too.I can not understand.I think if he really loves her,he should not give up.he should work hard to give the girl hapinese.If I were the girl,I was given up by my boy friend I would be sad.He does not want to make effort to give me happinese.I would be disappointed.
what do you think?Will you give up?

I think that all people are different and thus your friend may have given up as a way to respect the family and either gain their respect and admiration or in hopes that he will one day fall in love with her all over again and be accepted by her family.
I don't know what he is thinking at all, but I would say that I myself if in his shoes would not give up if I truly loved the woman.
