"The Eye" movie.. American version or Asian version better?

i already saw the asian version of it and its sequel but i have yet to see the american version with jessica alba (who i love!) i was wondering if its pretty much the same story of it they screw it up a lot?? is it better than the original? i found the original boring but i just figured it was the style.. lemme know!
