AVG anti-virus update problems?

As i am using AVG 8.0 version anti-virus tool. The update process fails while updating through online. Why this problem occurs. What is the remedy.

Hey there, probably your Windows firewall has AVG blocked from connecting through internet. You could check there. I also use AVG 8.0, previously I use to have update problems, then I had to re-install again and connect it to the internet by enabling it at Windows Firewall. If you're downloading through P2P programmes, then this may lag the update process causing it to stop since the bandwidth is insufficient. Hope this helps..have a nice day. Princess

Though I don't use AVG, yet I know some Super virus even could attack your anti-virus software and make them out of work completely, let alone making it fail to updating. There are software that has "repair" function, I don't know if AVG does.

True indeed this happens also .when there is no sufficient bandwidth to update the antivirus program

last time I had this issue..I had to uninstall and delete the program folder and reinstall AVG free edition.. It did solve the update issue.

i think your network connection might have been reset while the file was loading...i suggest you to use antivir or avast rather than avg as they are free,lighter,faster than avg...
