Our news is depressing

So its my daughters nap time and during this time I try to do my mylot stuff as well as my ptc sites. I usually have the news on in the background as I do my "work". I hate that it seems like our world is crashing. It's very scary. Today the news had Clara an elderly lady who is teaching fellow American's how to make "depression food". Why is it that we never seem to have anything positive on the tube? I hate thinking that this recession may be falling more and more into a depression. I hate having to listen about nothing good going on in the world. Why is it that our news broadcast consist of nothing but the negatives? Especially in such a "depressing" time...
