What arm rest is yours at the movie theatre?

Sooo if you are out watching a movie, relaxing with your arm on the arm rest and someone comes to sit next to you do you move your arm? What if someone is on the other side of them and has their arm on the opposite arm rest? Are you required to move yours or does the person on the other side move theirs?

If you are on the right hand side of the seating arrangement then the right hand one if your arm rest. If you are on the left hand side of the searing arrangement then the left hand one is yours. The problem comes when you are somewhere in the middle.

I never thought about that. Usually my hubby in one my right and we both use that one together. My left one will be stuffed in the popcorn or on my lap. Good question though.
