what is the standard for "gentlman"?

Hello all.
My 12-year-old brother is fascinated in "gentlman".maybe he watches too many films.he bought a black hat.He tries to put on and down it many times a day and triedhard to perform cool ,to like a gentlman.
I wonder what is the standard for gentlman?what does it mean by"gentlman:

being a traditional gentleman for me is someone who: 1. opens doors for women, 2. stands up when a lady joins them in a table 3.offers his seat when he sees a lady standing in a bus or train 4. offers to carry heavy baggage of ladies 5. offers his hand when a lady gets off a bus, etc 6. respects a lady 7. does not curse or use bad words in front of a lady and someone who breaks up with a lady but does not commit himself to another girl the next day, he should wait for a proper "mourning period". but these are just my opinion okay =)
