sleeveless & tube wedding gowns: no longer allowed in the philippines?

the catholic church has recently banned brides from wearing sleeveless & tube wedding gowns in church weddings. they say that even brides should observe the dress code. this dress code was made for purposes of decency, they say. what do you think? is it just right that brides only wear wedding gowns with sleeves? or is it a little too much to prohibit a bride from wearing sleeveless gowns? if you were a bride, would you rather get married outside the church if you planned on wearing a sleeveless gown, or would you go for a more conservative dress with sleeves to get married in a church?
