What First Aid can/should you give to a person having a heart attack?

Of course you should try to get them to the Emergency Room as soon as possible. But apart from that, what kind of help can you offer yourself? I already know about CPR, and giving the person an aspirin and a sorbitrate. Anything else you can give/do? Regarding aspirin, though, what if the person is already suffering from an ulcer? Or his symptoms seem like a heart attack, but are really a stroke (hemorrhagic one)? The won't an aspirin be more dangerous?

If someone has a cardiac arrest or heart attack, there are only a few minutes to act before it is too late. The first step is to perform CPR immediately, then take the patient to the hospital as soon as possible. One should keep the hospital latest contact numbers ready. One should know the shortest route to the hospital. Keep handy a few mobile numbers of taxi people who are willing to provide help in case of late night emergencies. Visit hospitals and familarise yourself with the facilities offered.
