'I asked God'

This was sent to me by an email and I just had to share it with others. I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Every morning you thank G'd for everything that He has given you. Then you humbly ask forgiveness for everything that you have done wrong in the past 24 hours. The rest of the day is a piece of cake. Shalom~Adoniah

Thanks Adoniah for your reply, I do things slightly differently, and I am always on my guard during the day, so that my errors that need to be forgiven are not that long, although I always Thank God not just in the Morning for getting me through the night and giving me another chance to seize the day, I thank God also before retiring to bed for the Wonderful things that the Lord has given me during the day, even if I can't see all of them. Thank you for sharing this. Like the song says, [i]"You can't always get what you want But if you try sometimes you might find You get what you need"[/i] Sometimes we go through life kicking and screaming because we haven't got what we desire; we do not stop and look at the bigger picture and stop to consider that we are where we should be right here, right now.
