how much power do laptop consume

Hi mylotters.. its might time at my place and I am about to sleep.. the net connection at my place provides slow download speed at my place.. i want 2 download movies from torrent and it would require 7-8 hours to download 2 movies..I am a habitual movie downloader.. so is a good idea to leave the laptop running all night ? How much is the power consumption of laptop say units per hour .. would it be too costly? I think laptop consume very less power compared to desktops.. is it right ?

lapotop and desktop almost consume the same power.I believe.. Just set some power saving feature on your laptop to off your computer screen at certain ideal time .

Lap top consumes very less power compared to destop.Onece its batteries are fully charged it takes very less power for supplying power to the lcd screen.

Most Laptop are desktop pc replacement..We open 24 hours a day..SO highy belive same power consumtion.

Laptop wont take any much power.It takes the power just for charging its batteries.You can utilize battery power after batteries are fully charged in the nights.It is not better to keep on charging the laptop batteries.We must have to discharge batteries at least an hour for increasing the life span of batteries.
